Training on “Arboriculture and Landscaping”
A training programme on “Arboriculture and Landscaping” was organized by the Horticulture Division, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Ri-Bhoi at Horticulture Farm during 2nd - 3rd August, 2016. The main purpose of the training was to impart knowledge and field experience on avenue trees plantation, lawn making and landscaping. The programme was attended by five Army personnel of the 21, Garhwal Rifles, Umroi Military Station, Umiam. The participants were exposed to both theory and practical demonstration of various associated activities. The participants had shown a great enthusiasm throughout the programme. The programme was coordinated by Drs. H. Rymbai, A.R. Roy and A.K. Jha.
